5. The Stressed Body
If you find yourself overly stressed, fat may begin to distribute around your mid-section, which often results from elevated levels of the stress hormone cortisol. To combat this issue, ensure you’re getting adequate sleep and try including more complex carbohydrates in your diet, both of which will aid in lowering cortisol levels.
6. The Sweet-Tooth’s Body
If you have a sweet tooth and consume a lot of excess sugar, your body may start to gain fat around your hips. This is often as a result of your body producing too much insulin as a result of sugar consumption. To combat this issue, try reducing your sugar intake by finding healthier alternatives for the sweets you crave.
7. The Low Estrogen Body
As was previously mentioned, if you find your body holding onto some excess fat around your hip, butt, or thigh area, these are all signs that you may have low estrogen levels. Consider adding an extra serving of cruciferous vegetables, like broccoli, to your daily diet as these can help regulate your estrogen.
8. The Low Testosterone Body
A way to tell if you’ve got lower than normal levels of testosterone is by whether or not your arms are flabby. Flabby arms indicate lower than normal levels, and a great way to combat this is to make attempts to increase your vitamin D levels. Either take a vitamin, eat some fish, or spend a little extra time in the outdoors. All of these are great ways of boosting your levels!
